I have been in karate for 7 years and I have never ever seen a school like this. When I came here, I was 9 and I came from first step karate which gave me my legs in karate but the minute I came into the dojo I was working hard and improving everyday. 3 months ago after my test my master, Master Allen Sarac, said I had to wait 3 months at first I was depressed because I technically failed, but then I thought back to first step and I realized this is a great school because they just don't just hand you you're belt. And know I'm going to try for my 2nd red and hopefully do great.

Thank You for sharing your story with us Collin. It is said that "Falling down is not failure - but staying down is." Sure there may be technical aspects of your test that you will improve upon, but recognizing improvement is NOT failure it is the first step to success.

Your message indicates that you have taken another step in building your character - and that alone is worth the price of a belt test.. you will carry that message with you forever.

Congratulations.
